If you had your eye examination at Kaiser Permanente, we allow for a one-time prescription recheck at no charge within 90 days of your examination date.

Your prescription is always provided to you at the completion of your examination or contact lens fitting. If you need another copy and the examination was by a Kaiser Permanente provider, you can print your prescription from your medical record on kp.org. Contact lens prescriptions are valid only for a period of one year by Colorado law.

At your contact lens fitting appointment, an evaluation will be made to determine the appropriate contact lenses for your visual needs. It may take several lenses and several weeks of wearing these lenses to determine which contact lenses are best for your particular visual and lifestyle needs. Once your prescription has been finalized, your optometrist will write a contact lens prescription. Fitting fees vary according to the type of contact lenses you need. Some Kaiser Permanente plans cover contact lens fittings. You will find that Kaiser Permanente contact lenses are priced to compete with any national retailer.

To refill your contact lenses by phone or online, you must have a current contact lens prescription at Kaiser Permanente. If you have a new contact lens prescription or are transferring your prescription, you’ll need to visit one of our Optical Centers to have your first order filled. If you have no refills left on your current prescription, you’ll need an eye examination to receive a new prescription.

You can reorder your contact lenses online at kp2020.org/colo

Orders placed online are shipped free of charge. Phone orders placed through the Contact Lens Refill Center that are for $75.00 or more are shipped free of charge. Shipping is $5.95 if your order is less than $75.00.

We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
