Anti-Reflective Coating
An anti-reflective (AR) coated lens helps you to see more clearly, improves your night vision and makes your lenses more cosmetically appealing by eliminating reflections and letting people see your eyes.

The highly polished surfaces of your eyewear lenses reflect light off the front and back surfaces and reduce the amount of light coming into your eyes. This can lead to eye strain and fatigue; result in distractions, annoyances and visual hazards especially at night; and create front-surface reflections that veil your eyes to those who see you.
A multi-layered AR coating reclaims reflected light - reducing the annoying reflections and making it easier to see. Standard, uncoated lenses only let in between 85 and 92 percent of available light. A lens that has been treated with an AR coating lets in up to 99 percent of available light.
Think of it this way. Wearing lenses without an AR coating is like trying to read a book in a dimly lit room - even with excellent vision it's difficult. Turn up the light, and suddenly it becomes easier to read. Since an AR coating allows more light to reach your eyes by reducing reflections, it’s like turning up the room lights, making it easier to see.
